Globalization as a way out of the poverty trap (Part 2)

Less encouraging is that not everywhere is the growing affluence arrived. While particularly in East Asia thanks to the successful integration into the world markets, the number of poor by 751 million reduction (of which China alone to 627 million), poverty in sub-Saharan Africa is still a big problem: There is lived 2005 even 182 million more people in poverty than in 1980. Civil wars, mismanagement, corruption have prevented participation in the growing global markets. Nevertheless, the poor are above the $ 1.25 and the income also rising slightly (for extended periods). I would make the statements with the 500 million of critical questioning. Excluding China, it already looks much worse. Therefore, we can say that China has essentially fights poverty in their own country.
